History – Gerald McGavin UBC Rugby Centre

Opened in January 2013, this 5000 square-foot high-performance facility includes luxurious team locker rooms, a 100 person lounge overlooking Lord and Buck fields, and office and storage space. Featuring a top-of-the-line AV system, a 30-foot reclaimed-wood bar, and full length window wall capable of being opened to provide unobstructed views of the action on the field, the clubhouse lounge is quickly becoming a highly sought after space on campus.

In partnership with the BC Rugby Union, the facility is set to host a number of key national and international matches and tournaments at UBC.

The Gerald McGavin UBC Rugby Centre will benefit rugby, high-performance sport and social life on campus with the addition of a much-needed clubhouse lounge for alumni, students and sport groups.
